An Ancient Motif, Reimagined in Texture

Deeply rooted in the rich heritage of Indian textiles, the Paisley motif has adorned exquisite fabrics for centuries. Known by various regional names, including Ambi, Kairi, Buta, Kalka and Mankolam, this graceful, curved motif is often associated with the shape of a mango, a cherished symbol of abundance and prosperity in Indian culture.

From the luxurious handwoven shawls of Kashmir to richly patterned Banarasi silks and intricate traditional embroidery, Paisley celebrates generations of exceptional craftsmanship. Having travelled across continents, this enduring motif has become an icon of textile and fashion design, seamlessly blending traditional artistry with timeless elegance.
